On Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the “Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble” is hosting its annual Christmas guitar concert in its hall in Rodotopi.
The concert features mainly young students taking their first steps in learning the instrument, and it will conclude with two Christmas melodies performed by the Junior Guitar Ensemble.
Admission is free.
“Epirotiko” (Ηπειρώτικο) is a composition based on themes from the traditional music of Epirus, written by Georgios Nakis and dedicated to the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble (RGE) in 2013, shortly after its official founding. Since then, the piece has been performed in numerous concerts by the Ensemble, and after all these years, it was decided to record it on video.
The video was filmed at the residence of Manthos F. Manthos in Rodotopi, Ioannina, directed by Giannis Papaïoannou. The RGE expresses its gratitude to Giorgos M. Manthos and Sofia Konstantinou for kindly providing the space.

The Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble warmly thanks the Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Greek History for the excellent organization of the concert and its kind hospitality.
On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble has the pleasure of being hosted at the Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Greek History for a concert, as well as a guided tour of the works of the museum’s sculptor and founder, Pavlos Vrellis.
The concert takes place on the anniversary of the museum’s 29th year of operation — one of the most remarkable and well-known museums of its kind in Greece.

A special poetic evening, featuring poets Tasos Kanatsis and Giorgos Koulianos, as well as the participation of the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble, was organized by the “Konstantinos Asopios” General High School of Eleousa, Ioannina, on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
The Ensemble extends its congratulations to the poets for their work and to Eleousa High School for its initiative and organization.
A wonderful initiative by the “Konstantinos Asopios” General High School of Eleousa: the organization of a Music and Poetry Evening featuring guest poets Tasos Kanatsis and Giorgos Koulianos, along with the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble.
Poems will be recited both by the poets themselves and by students of the school.
The event will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., in the school’s Multi-purpose Hall.

On Saturday evening, January 27, 2024, the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble held its traditional New Year Cake cutting, attended by members and friends of the ensemble, as well as the new President of the Rodotopi Community, Mr. Lefteris Argyris, who gave a brief greeting following the address by the Ensemble’s president.
The cake was kindly donated by the bakery of Theodoros Argyris, to whom the Ensemble expresses its warm thanks.
