Another musical celebration, the 6th National Meeting of Guitar
Ensembles and Orchestras of Ioannina, was successfully concluded at the “V.
Pyrsinellas” Hall on Saturday, January 21, 2023, with the
participation of nine musical institutions from seven cities across Greece,
bringing together approximately 200 musicians.
As with the five previous meetings, the event was co-organised by
the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble (RGE), the Cultural Centre of the
Municipality of Ioannina, and the Municipality of Zitsa.
The Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble extends its warmest thanks to all participants
and contributors, namely:
- The participating guitar ensembles and orchestras and their directors, most of whom travelled from other cities to present their work and artistic identity.
- The Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Ioannina and the Municipality of Zitsa for their excellent cooperation.
- Thomas Nastos for professional sound management.
- The local representatives who
honoured the event with their presence:
- Michalis Pliakos, Mayor of Zitsa, who delivered a welcome address and inaugurated the event.
- Spyros Paikas, Municipal Councillor of Zitsa.
- Sotiria Kaznesi, President of the Rodotopi Community. - Thomás Pappas for the design of the event poster, printed programme, and banner.
- Andreas Parginos for the photographic coverage of the event.
- Sotiria Athanasopoulou for hosting the event.
- Alexandros Tsiavos for offering bottled water to all participants.
