Replacement of the old wooden windows in the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble Hall

Window replacement process underway
In recent days, an important step was taken toward preserving a historic public building of Rodotopi—dating back to the Ottoman period—through the replacement of its old wooden windows, most of which had decayed and become unusable.

This building has housed the “Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble” association for the past 11 years. Its old windows, built around 50 years ago, were made of thin wood with single panes of glass and had developed multiple problems, including water leakage, difficulty in opening and closing, and frequent opening by the wind. Their replacement was carried out by the Municipality of Zitsa, following a formal request by the Ensemble.

The new windows are made of aluminum, with double glazing, and in a color chosen to harmonize, as much as possible, with the stone character of the building. As with all modern aluminum windows, they provide thermal insulation—helping conserve energy during winter—as well as soundproofing and enhanced safety.

The Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble, in keeping with its consistent practice of expressing gratitude to every institution or individual contributing to its proper functioning—regardless of political affiliation—extends its warm thanks to the Municipality of Zitsa for fulfilling its request.
